Investigate 9/11. Something mighty fishy went down that day.
I’ve been looking into the events of 9/11 for over a year now and have become more horrified with every passing day. Much of the explanation provided by officials simply doesn’t make sense given the historical record of the events on that day. More and more eyewitnesses, scientists, engineers, firemen, pilots and academics are coming forward to talk about the events of 9/11, examine the remaining evidence from the day and ask questions. Simple things like:
- Why did the WTC twin towers collapse so quickly in such a short time (~12seconds)?
- Why didn’t the U.S Airforce intercept any of the hijacked planes, even 1-2 hours after the first attack?
- Why did WTC 7, the one NOT hit by planes or seriously on fire, collapse so quickly and so neatly (~6 seconds)?
- Why did firemen and bystanders on the scene hear and feel explosions in the basements of the WTC towers?
- Why wasn’t there ANY remaining plane debris at the Pentagon crash?
- Why is the Pentagon’s initial impact damage only 1 round hole, 16′ across with no visible damage from wings, engines or vertical stabilizer? Why is there a neat hole punched out of the 3rd interior ring?
Why was all the physical debris evidence from the WTC sites destroyed within the first months after the attacks? Shouldn’t it all have been stored and pored over in minute detail by every relevant government agency? Why was no official investigation into the events of 911 begun for over 400 days? The 911 commission was given minimal money and scant time and the resulting report would seem to indicate that they were also given a directive to ignore the facts and make the story fit a prescribed theory. The 911 Commission report is widely recognized as being incomplete, shoddy and negligent in its analysis. Why is it that the FBI still has not implicated Osama Bin Laden in the attacks of 911?
One of the best 911 documentaries out there on this subject is called Loose Change. It looks into many of the questions posed above, asks many more and systematically presents the evidence that remains to us…e.g video clips of the live news coverage of the events of that day, eyewitness testimony and official reports.
The events of 911 create a labyrinthine story. Investigating even one of the three major events of that day (the WTC attacks, the Pentagon attack and the crash of Flight 93 in Shanksville, PA) requires diligently wading through much evidence. I’ve looked seriously into the WTC attacks and eventual destruction. Below are highlights of this info, as gleaned from many of the “911 truth” sites I’ve come across. There are scads of such sites. Most are not very good, but some are excellent. Check out the sites listed below, and then Google 911 for yourself. Spend an hour browsing. Keep an open mind. Yes, many of the sites are fraught with hysteria, one-sided ranting and bad grammar, but many are thoughtful, thorough and as objective as one can be when proposing that the horror of 911 was most likely visited upon us by key players in our own government. Many of the claims can be independently verified with some diligent Googling of your own. Do the legwork and don’t take anyone’s word for anything. These sites are ones I’ve pored over and found to be consistently good, thorough and rational.

The WTC “collapses”…the official story doesn’t add up at all.
Expert Engineers in the Fields of Construction & Demolitions report that the way the WTC towers fell matches 100% the profile of controlled demolition and not by collapse due to fire, as described by the government 9/11 Commission Report. (Steven Jones of Brigham Young U.; Richard Gage,AE, Jeff King of MIT; David Ray Griffith, Judy Wood, Alex Jones). See the ae911truth.org site for everything you want to know about this as presented by licensed architects and mechanical engineers. Some of the highlights of the evidence for this:
- The towers each fell completely to the ground at nearly the speed of gravity in 11-15 seconds, with no apparent resistance from the floors below. The fell into neat, self contained symmetrical piles. This happened 3 times at the WTC site, and has NEVER happened to a steel building ever before. Never. Look it up. Despite the differences in the two crashes themselves (and the lack of any crash at WTC 7), the buildings collapsed into themselves. They didn’t fall over, lose sections or partially collapse. They disintegrated into neat symmetrical piles in their own footprint. Watch the copious vids of the collapses for yourself. Then look for vids of actual controlled demolitions. Compare them. Think about it.
- Both WTC towers were framed with steel girders around the entire outside and had a core of steel girders (47 4 ft steel columns) in the center of the buildings. The “pancake collapse” theory, which states that the impact area was so weakened by the jet fuel fires that the outside steel girders melted and allowed the upper sections to fall down onto the lower floors, causing a chain reaction collapse as each floor fell straight down onto the one below. The official report neglects to mention that the inside girders should still have remained, like a stereo record stacker, even as tje floor sections fell. You’d expect there to be a pile of damaged floors at the bottom wouldn’t you. The buildings should have been rougly 25% - 33% of their original height of the pancake collapse. What was actually left? a pile of pulverized concrete and sections of steel girders. On top of all that, if each floor had simply smashed into the one below causing it to break free, the speed of collapse would NOT have been at free fall speed (9.8 m/s squared). Each successive floor would have added time to the collapse. Even if you add a meager 1/2 second for each floor, it would have taken 45-50 seconds for the building to come down. Look at the video footage. 10-15 seconds, tops from start to finish for those buildings to disappear.
- Jet fuel is a hydrocarbon, and so only burns at 1,400 - 1,700 degrees (depending on who you ask) & would have burned up in the intial fireballs of the crash, ~15-30 seconds. It takes 2500+ degree heat over long periods of time to melt steel, so the 911 Commission Report’s assertion that the jet fuel melted the steel girders, causing them to fail can not be true. The commission stated that the burning desks, plastics and paper melted the steel, but they only burn at 450 degrees. A sealed blast furnace with bellows of oxygen are needed to melt steel. Fire Engineering experts report that fire has never before brought down a skyscraper.
- Madrid, 2005 - Windsor Tower - fire burned for 19 hours, on all floors, but the steel frame remained.
- Philadelphia, 1991 - One Meridian Plaza - Fire burned for 18 hours over 6 floors. No collapse.
- Caracas, 2004 - Parque Central Tower - Fire for 17 hours over 34 floors. No collapse.
There are many such examples of steel skyscrapers surviving raging fires without collapse. The WTC towers fell after only about 56 and 103 minutes of fires respectively.
- Molten steel was seen flowing from the towers before they fell, which is a clear side effect of a thermate reaction. Pictures of the wreckage show girders sliced neatly with telltale angle cuts and molten metal around the ends. This is how buildings are demolished, with cutter charges placed to slice the steel members, at an angle, using Thermite (or Thermate, which is Thermite with a Sulfur additive to speed the aluminothermic reaction).
- People in the towers reported explosions just before the planes hit, & multiple explosions from floors below ground level afterwards. There are films where smoke can be seen billowing from the bottom of the WTC2 before it implodes.
- Squibs, an industry term for controlled demolition blasts, can clearly be seen flying out of the building below the level of the crash as the buildings start to collapse in all films.
- Most pieces of the WTC wreckage were just the right size to fit on a truck, as in demolition. That was convenient. The ends of most of the girders were cut smooth, & at an angle, as is the case when shaped charges are used in controlled demolition to make the girder fall in the desired direction. Thermate & Thermite, controlled demolition explosives, cut through steel like butter, & at such angles.
- WTC 7 came down, in a controlled demolition fashion, roughly 8 hours after the initial attacks. In fact, it was reported on the BBC and other news outlets that WTC 7 had collapsed a full 30 minutes before it actually did collapse. WTF?? Small office fires on 3 non-contiguous floors were supposedly responsible. Really? It dropped like a sack of wheat into a neat little pile of rubble without damaging any of the buildings around it. WTC 5 and WTC 3 both were nearly crushed by the debris from the two towers when they fell on top of them, yet their steel structures remained standing. Oh yes, and WTC 7 was the home of the IRS, the SEC and the CIA, all of whom lost much valuable documentation on the cases of fraud and tax-evasion there were nearly ready to prosecute. Coincidence I guess.
- Larry Silverstein, lease holder of the WTC complex, was filmed saying, “We decided to Pull It.” “Pull it” is an industry term for setting off controlled demolition. After being confronted, he admitted that it was controlled demolition in building 7, –note that it would have taken over a week to set controlled demolition in that 47 story building. That is strong support for the notion that controlled demolition was also pre-planned for the 2 towers.
- The World Trade Centers were completed in 1970-72, as an experimental controlled environment, with no windows. In 2001,the ventilators were quite old, & the vent ducts were filthy and clogged with mold which made the towers unfit for breathing, and the situation was going to be enormously expensive to fix. Also, all steel beams in the building, frame and otherwise, were covered with asbestos and abatement was deemed so astronomically expensive as to be effectively impossible. There were millions of dollars in law suits for lung cancer, mesothelioma, leukemia, etc. and fines from the city agencies. The towers were going to have to be brought down by controlled demolition anyway, at a cost of millions. Larry Silverstein, the man who had just purchased the WTC complex a few months before, took out billions of dollars of insurance on the complex with double indemnity clauses for terrorist attacks. He demanded and received insurance payouts for each of the 3 buildings as a separate attack.
A federal jury on Monday ruled that the assault on the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center was in fact two occurrences for insurance purposes. The finding in U.S. District Court in Manhattan means leaseholder Larry Silverstein may collect up to $4.6 billion, according to reports. [Forbes.com 12/06/04]
Thoughts on the Pentagon crash and American Airlines flight 77
- The government’s 9/11 Commission reported that the reason flight 77’s wreckage was not in any of the pictures of the Pentagon crash site was because the plane had entirely vaporized in the fire. Heavy solid metal elements do not vaporize at temps less than 5,500 degrees. Never before has a plane been 100% vaporized in a crash. Never. Little to no debris was scattered on the lawn except for huge spools of wire from the recent construction, bits of wooden furniture & books, all of which should have burned before the metal plane. Small (small enough to be carried with one hand) pieces of an American airlines fuselage were found, but no seats, no bodies, no engines, no wings, no tires. Nothing else. Those who were on-site were perplexed by the lack of plane debris. The Commission stated that the entire plane vaporized, but stated that body parts of over 100 passengers were found, identified and returned to relatives, in addition to the passports of the hijackers. Have you ever seen any video footage or pictures of body bags from the Pentagon crash? How do flesh and paper survive a cataclysm that vaporized an entire jet aircraft?
- Consider too that the terrorist pilot of flight 77, Hani Hanjour had a dismal flight record and was denied further access to small planes by flight instructors at Freeway Airport in Bowie, Md 2 weeks before the attack (August 2001) because he was deemed unable to even control a single engine Cessna. Despite this lack of skill small plane, let alone a huge commercial airliner he decided to forego the straight-in attack (He was approaching the Pentagon from the North) and execute an extremely difficult 270 degree turn while dropping 7000 feet in altitude in under 2 minutes to strike the opposite, south side of the Pentagon at ground level. The south side it should be noted was the only side specially reinforced to withstand such an attack.
- Photos from the scene clearly show that the initial damage to the Pentagon was a small hole, 16′ in diameter (a 757 has a 120′ wingspan, & is 5 stories tall), AND NO impact debris from the plane. No damage from the wings or vertical stabilizer, or engine pods is visible. In fact, windows immediately adjacent to the entry hole are still intact..no broken glass. After the roof caved in 30+ minutes later (another question there, mind you), the damaged area was only 70′ across. The original hole was however consistent with a missle strike.
- The purportedly legitimate cell phone calls from the hijacked planes were astronomically unlikely. Cell phone technology had not been developed enough by 2001 to be used at commercial jet altitudes. The supposedly heroic call from Todd Beamer & others were fake. One caller even identified himself to his mother by full name “Hi Mom, this is John Conner”. Who calls his parent and uses their full name? Ever? These kinds of things raise incovenient questions. Were there people on those planes at all? If not, what happened to them?
Government Complicity?
- The Project for a New American Century, a neocon think tank, released in 2000 a document called “Rebuilding America’s Defenses”. According to this PNAC report, “The American peace has proven itself peaceful, stable, and durable. Yet no moment in international politics can be frozen in time: even a global Pax Americana will not preserve itself.” To preserve this “American peace” through the 21st century, the PNAC report concludes that the global order “must have a secure foundation on unquestioned U.S. military preeminence.” The report struck a prescient note when it observed that “the process of transformation is likely to be a long one, absent some catastrophic and catalyzing event–like a new Pearl Harbor.” Many of PNAC’s conclusions and recommendations are reflected in the White House’s National Security Strategy document of September 2002, which reflects the “peace through strength” credo that shapes PNAC strategic thinking.
- Major stock holders in the affected airlines dumped their stocks in the days before 9/11 in “put options”, which effectively are a bet that the price of the stock will fall. The amount of “put” options on American Airlines, United Airlines and Boeing were all 5-10 times higher normal.
- War games were being conducted on 9/11 by several branches of the Armed Forces to simulate a mock terrorist attack. These war games caused immense confusion about the veracity of the actual reports of the hijackings as they were made that morning by the FAA so that no military jets were scrambled until 2 hours or so after the first attack. Washington DC has Andrews Air Force Base 10 minutes away and yet no planes came to guard DC or the Pentagon which were hit over an hour after the WTC towers were hit. There is even footage of then Transportation secretary Norm Mineta saying that while in Cheney’s office in the Pentagon on the morning of the attack that Cheney was being repeatedly informed of the incoming plane (flight 77) …30 miles out, 20 miles out, 10 miles out, and yet he did not issue any sort of warning or act on the information at all.
- Osama Bin Laden was named as solely responsibleby the US government the next day, but he has never been put on the FBI’s most wanted list, to this day. Members of the Bin Laden Family who were visiting with the Bush administration during the days before were rushed out of the country the next day, with no questioning, on a government plane. In fact, the US government flight that took them was one of the tiny handful of flights NOT grounded during the days immediately after 9/11.
